ALIENS DEAD ORBIT #1 REVIEW: WE DO NOT DESERVE JAMES STOKOE

Let's cut the bullshit...This comic is less of a story about Aliens and more of a story by an alien....because all I could think while reading through the first issue of Aliens: Dead Orbit was "Oh my God...James Stokoe can't be human." 

I mean...just.....take it all in.

James Stokoe (Of Orc Stain fame) tackles this book as almost a one man comic team....He's writing and drawing and doing covers....and when somone who has a deep understanding of visual storytelling does a book....it shows that they know how to convey information without having to write it all out....And the art in Dead Orbit is so beautiful and all encompassing that it's nice to see Stokoe give it all room to breath on the page. There's not a lot of word bubble clutter, but there's also not a lack of information either....the balance of art and dialogue is perfect.

Buy this book....read it....LOOK AT IT....and love it!
