Tom Taylor (Injustice) with artists Trevor Hairsine and Stefan Gaudiano, continue to drive home this epic horror story as this version of the DC Universe crumbles at the posthumous hands of Darkseid. With the lives of these characters truly at stake due to the nature of this story, Taylor and company provide the weight needed to elevate this story in ways books like Blackest Night could never accomplish. This Elseworlds tale has already subverted expectations and continues to break hearts with this brand new chapter.

As the world turns over in turmoil by way of the Anti Life Equation, the reader is subject to snapshots throughout the universe as they learn where the fate of these characters truly lies. Heroes such as Aquaman are left in ambiguity as to whether they have survived Darkseidโ€™s reign, while others such as The Joker are thoroughly indoctrinated within the power of the Equation. Closing on a heartbreaking moment between Batman, Alfred and Damian have left readers hungry for more as they witness their favorite comic universe fall to pieces.

The dual artistry of Trevor Hairsine and Stefan Gaudiano blend into one vision as they magnificently paint the sheer horror which has taken place across the DCU as a whole. From scenes of violence to the heartbreaking moments between a family, this artistic duo is perfect for the title and the scripts that Taylor commands. Colorist Rain Beredo continues to drench their pencils is absolute horror over this series and deliver the sense of constant dread this world has been trusted into.

Once again, Tom Taylorโ€™s wrath holds no bounds. First with Injustice and now to DCeased, Taylor delivers truly exciting, and gut-wrenching tales while still remaining faithful to the pre-established mythos fans are familiar with. Bringing his twisted lens onto the DCU once again proves to be lucrative from its many variants, some even horror movie themed, to the lack of copies found on store shelves, fans have most definitely voted with their wallets.

While this chapter sets up multiple plot lines that are sure to pay off as more issues are released, fans will be waiting in bated breath to learn the fate of their favorite heroes.
